This project has the financial support of the Regional Development Program (RDP) of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) (www.iadr.org). The allocated funds have allowed:

• The creation of this website, which centralizes and organizes the project's efforts
• The sponsorship of a workshop in Lima, Peru, designed to bring together 11 coordinators from the Latin American region. During this meeting, training was provided in the ICDAS diagnostic criteria to ensure the standardization of concepts and criteria, as well as developing work tools and establishing an agenda of activities that began in 2018.

In the second phase of the project, the epidemiological survey will be carried out in each participating country, once all trainers are fully standardized. This work will allow the comparison of results between the countries involved, providing valuable data for the region.

This effort is possible thanks to the support and commitment of partner universities in the region. To date, 14 universities have joined the project, supporting their respective local Coordinators in achieving the set objectives.
